Varenna: A full day of exploration
Varenna is truly charming. We spent the day wandering up and down all the alleyways finding hidden treasures in lovely little shops and even came upon a Sunday outdoor market in the main square. Even the “street art” here is uniquely and purposefully framed and embedded into the old stone walls. The day was glorious, clear sky’s, bright sunshine, and a leisurely Sunday atmosphere with far fewer people in town making for an idyllic Lake Como day. Not to mention the fabulous food and glasses of Prosecco greeting us around every corner. The perfect empty table seems to keep showing up at just the right time with just the right view...it’s like magic.
