Tenerife: Mirador de Archipenque
The best place to view the Giants (Los Gigantes) from high above the town is Mirador de Archipenque, a viewpoint and a cafe. I had read about this place and was excited to check it out, it had all the ingredients to become my most favorite place and I soon became a regular. It is a lovely walk uphill passing by banana plantations, has gorgeous views, and most definitely is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of local vino tinto. Watching the sun set behind La Gomera, the island you can see off the coast of Tenerife, is a lovely time to be there although I can assure you, there is no bad time. The service was wonderful, the ladies who work there are kind and helpful, this is for sure a must on any Tenerife bucket list no matter where on the island you are staying.
