Singapore Botanic Gardens

The small island nation of Singapore is well-regarded for its status as a tropical Garden City. Touted as a modern phenomenon, it is considered as one of the greenest cities in the entire globe.  At the core of this success sits the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Singapore’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site.  “The Gardens” is the first and only tropical botanic garden on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Situated in the heart of the city, the site demonstrates the evolution of a British tropical colonial botanic garden that has become a modern world-class scientific institution used for both conservation and education.

There is no entrance fee to Singapore Botanic Gardens. It is open daily, from 5 a.m. to midnight.  The gardens are easily accessible, situated in central Singapore, just 5 minutes away from Orchard Road.

There are so many types of gardens to visit, you could spend days. They have a bonsai garden, ginger garden, evolution garden, fragrant garden, healing garden, eco-garden, ethnobotany garden, foliage garden, orchid garden, VIP orchid garden…the list goes on!

This is a MUST visit when in Singapore,

it is truly glorious!
