Cascais-Estoril Promenade
The Cascais-Estoril promenade is an enjoyable 3km walk that extends from the fishing town of Cascais to the small village of Sao Joao do Estoril.
The closest beach to the historic center of Cascais, which is literally in front of the square, is Praia da Ribeira (also called Fisherman’s Beach). The next beach heading west you come to is Praia da Raina (the Queen’s Beach) which was chosen by a queen Dona Amelia as her private beach. These two you walk through the town of Cascais to get to, then you can join the Promenade and just keep walking.
Here is a list of the beaches along the Promenade, listed from west to east:
Praia da Conceição
Praia da Duquesa
Praia das Moitas
Praia do Tamariz (Estoril train station)
Praia do Pescoço do Cavalo
Praia da Poça
Praia da Azarujinha
The Promenade is flat and easy to walk, it passes many beaches and interesting sights, historical buildings and loads of outdoor cafes.
