Cascais: 3 favs to eat and drink

Bubbles and Bites

Travessa do Poco Novo 16A

Cascais 2750-469 Portugal

Love the name, love the ambiance, love love the food.  Serves everything including vegetarian/vegan options.  This has something for everyone.  Located near the centre in the old part of town. Serves various styles of Bites/Tapas,and Plates by chef and co-owner Debora Rodrigues who was super kind and helpful with suggestions. Plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans and most produce is of biological (organic) origin. Debora and Fred have created a cosy and warm place with nice ambient music and friendly staff. They also serve excellent wines and champagnes.

Jonas Bar & Restaurante

Passeio Marítimo do Estoril, Praia Das Moitas,

Estoril, PT 2765-043

On the promenade heading west to Estoril is Jonas Bar. I love this place.  It overlooks the water with no beach in front so far less people here.  I enjoyed my Caipirinha and pretty much stopped by every time I walked by.  If you don’t know, Caipirinha is Brazil's national cocktail, also very popular in Portugal, and is made with cachaça, sugar, and lime. The drink is prepared by mixing the fruit and the sugar together, then adding the liquor. Thank you Stephana for turning me on to this cocktail while we were in Rio together.
